There are currently about 59 private psychiatrists in Hong Kong, 58 are our members. Their clinics are mainly located from Tsimshatsui to Mongkok on the Kowloon side, and from Sheung Wan to Causeway Bay on Hong Kong Island. Fee charges range from about $500 to $2000 per consultation.

As compared to the public sector, there are several differences in our service, 1) Waiting time is minimal - from zero time to about one week. You may try "walk-in" in case of urgency, but phone-booking beforehand is highly recommended.
2) You would always be seen by the same doctor.
3) All of our members are qualified Specialists in Psychiatry, as registered in the Medical Council of Hong Kong.
4) Doctor's referral is not necessary, although preferred.
5) We are seeing milder mental disorders (neurosis), while in the public sector there are more psychotic patients.
